The hell did I miss this? How Sway? I don’t know how it took me this long to discover, order and own Ntombenhle Dolls but it seems I’m late on the train. But better late than never. I was on Facebook on Tuesday and saw someone had posted a link about these beautiful black made in SA dolls. I clicked on it, found out that it’s a black woman owned business and she’s right here in Joburg. I clicked on the link, had a bit of a tough time choosing which dolls I wanted to buy because they are all so beautifully dressed, but I decided on a Xhosa (NomaXhosa) one, a Ndebele (Nomalanga) one and a Sotho (Lineo) one because look at those outfits. What’s underneath those tiny blankets is even better. I got my dolls delivered less than 24 hours after I had ordered and paid and I was so pleased by the product and service, that I invited this owner to come and exhibit at the Feminist Stokvel Hair Soiree happening this Saturday at King Kong, 6 Verwey Street, Doornfontein between 12.00 and 15.00!
