Ladies and Gentleman, I am old.  In my 20s, I prided myself on having my finger on the pulse of everything, knowing the latest people, styles, places and what not, but a week spent scrutinizing local blogs and instagram accounts has left me feeling cold and old, well, because the truth is that I am when confronted by these super styling young people.  It’s a case of aging before beauty.  You are looking at the blazing street style of Pretoria and Johannesburg and the humans who keep making these towns relevant in the global search for people and places that are the perennial antidote to boredom.  I’ve always known that I live in one of the coolest cities on earth but my seriousness over the last few months has blinded me from remembering just how awesome the people here are despite the many sociopolitical conditions we face.  I follow most of these guys on Instagram, which I am currently on a break from, but haven’t visited their sites in a while and I must admit I had no idea about Pretoria’s runway market aka The Social Market, which has been styling since the beginning of this year.  I can’t say much more than what the pics are saying besides get following the following online if you want to stay on the knowing side of things:

Trevor Stuurman all day everyday crush
Yoliswa Mqoco stay tuned on this channel i think something big is happening like tomorrow
Everyday People’s Stories great, consistent photographs of our blossoming cities
Fashion Rebels SA pretoria rising
Lulama Wolf  no idea where she came from but i’ve caught feelings
Maitele
Wawe the elusive guy with the green braids standing with the girl with the green braids
